Reporting Capabilities
Overview: PD Partner was built to satisfy even the most complex
reporting requirements. Since
PD Partner resides on a Microsoft SQL
Server™ database, information
is available through countless toolkits.
PD Partner is shipped with over 300
standard reports and inquiries, including
time
and attendance tracking software
capabilities. Each was created using
Crystal Reports from Business Objects,
widely regarded as the industry standard
for desktop reporting. Its ease
of use provides your firm with a platform
for creating or modifying reports to
meet firm-specific and client requirements.
Users have control over every aspect
of the report design including fonts
and the ability to embed graphics logos
and objects such as spreadsheets.
Each program has reports associated with it. Our internal security model controls which users see which reports. Most reports have selection criteria that allow the user to specify the exact criteria for running the report. All reports can be viewed on screen or sent to any printer on the firm’s network. Additionally, reports can be exported to any of the following formats with just a few mouse clicks:

Comma separated Values (CSV)
Text, Rich Text

E-Mail Reports can be emailed to any member of the firm from within the report viewer window via MS Outlook or Groupwise.
Report Registration
As new reports are created by the firm, they can be registered to specific PD Partner programs through our Report Registration Program. If security is granted to a user, that user will then see the firm-created report in the list of available reports for the program.
Executive Inquiry
The PD Partner Executive Inquiry program provides a single point of access to all of the firm, client and attorney productivity and profitability information needed by management to make sound business decisions. PD Partner’s security model ensures management has access to everything they need while guarding against unauthorized access by individuals who do not have the appropriate security.
FSLI helps turn data into useful information. With Executive Inquiry, an attorney can answer questions as diverse as:
What is the firm’s current cash balance?
Who owes us money?
What money came in this week and who received credit for it?
What are our cash requirements for the next 14 days?
What is our investment in a given case?
Who doesn’t have their time in?
What clients are most profitable?
PD Partner Print Wizard: Most reports in PD Partner have selection criteria that can be specified at runtime. Our Print Wizard interface prompts the user for only the parameters associated with the selected report. Look-ups are available for most fields and are consistent throughout the system.
InSight:
PD Partner’s Real-time Management Inquiry program provides analytical reporting tools that enable management to measure the productivity and profitability of the firm. This tool enables a user to answer a variety of firm, client, case or employee related financial questions. With a few clicks of the mouse, any user, with the appropriate security, can access up-to-date financial statistics including:

Annual Fee Credit information by Month
Billings, Collections, Reverse Bills, Reverse Collections, Adjustments, Reverse Adjustment
This
information can be viewed firm-wide,
or specifically for a given client,
case, office, department, billing attorney
or responsible attorney. Each
summary view is supported by drill-down
views. These drill down views
allow the user to more closely examine
supporting detail information.
For example, if the inquiry was run
for a particular Timekeeper and the
user wanted to look at the Aged WIP
in more detail, the user simply double
clicks in the WIP grid and a Client
level summary for the selected Timekeeper
would be presented. Double clicking
on a Client reveals the Matter level
statistics. The drill down from
the matter summary displays the actual
unbilled time card transactions.
nSight
provides the firm with the tools it
needs to evaluate firm, personnel, client
or case performance over time.
The information provided in these inquiries
allows the firm to improve cash flow
and maximize profits.
EnLighten
Enlighten
is a customizable, rules-based event
driven reporting and notification
system which automatically notifies
key personnel by email of firm-defined
conditions requiring immediate attention.
Once a rule is established and thresholds
are set, the system is self-maintaining
and runs transparently to automatically
trigger notification alerts. Common
events which can act as triggers in
Enlighten
include:

Each of the
events described above as well as numerous
others is delivered as a part of the
core system. Parameters are set to firm-specified
thresholds. Enlighten
also provides the ability for each firm
to create an unlimited number of firm-specified
events using SQL.
FSLI’s Enlighten
also has the ability to output data
directly to a firm’s Intranet
on a scheduled basis. Now firms
can access updated employee lists, client/matter
directories, and financial reports from
their internal websites. Information
can now be deployed to a zero footprint
/ training environment.
